Christmas Fundraising Planner for Nonprofits (Excel Template)

Christmas Day is nine and a half weeks from today, and appeals planned after Thanksgiving tend to launch late and close in a rush.

Planning backwards from December 25 in phases keeps it manageable. Plan and Build come first: a one-page brief with a money goal, a gift-count goal, the case for support, the call to action and three named owners. Then Launch, the Advent push, Christmas week, the final days, and Thank & review in January. Give every milestone one owner and one date, and check once a week what has slipped. A late milestone in Advent costs more than one in November, so that's where to look first.

The payoff is a plan the whole team can read, and a board update you can give in two minutes.
